Sometimes u might think that the titles of my blog makes no sense, but tbh is not supposed to, that’s the style I personally like.
This was the longest year, the most weird year, the shittiest year and of course a different christmas, this are the words of everybody you talk to. Even when I call my fam back home the topic is on ALL THE TIME!
another year, another christmas, and let’s hope for a better year, a year when we have to work harder and SURVIVE!
So the other day I was thinking why was I worried about me turning 30 and my conclusion is that since Andy was the one worried about turning 30 cuz to be fair I am not there yet and I was worrying about this a little bit early.
I meannnnn…… turning 30 is probably a big deal, that prob means that you are not that “young” anymore and that you are in the 3rd level (that is how we say it in spanish, at least in Panama) tbf turning 30 is not that bad at all, specially if you have the significant one by your side, waking up next to you day by day until the end of your days.
In another news, our tree is finally here, but not quite finished yet. It’s looking good so far and I am very excited to see how it looks after is all done
Soooooo, it is officially the 4th of the most beautiful month of the year, yay!! the other day I was asking andy if he actually feels annoyed by the fact that i’m too hyped abt christmas, like all year long every year I am waiting for december 25th and when is november i am so excited already, well you cannot really tell, how this celebration makes me. Maybe is because when I was a kid christmas meant that all my cousins from other cities and even some families from overseas will visit us and we will be very happy to cook, drink and eat, pretty much an all you can eat and drink during these days until the end of the year. Since in my family we celebrate big until January 1st (but New Year’s is another story) you can add to that that in Panama most of the schools are closed because its summer vacation, no more homework and lots of extra time to spend in the rivers and beaches etc…
its clearly that in Panama once stops raining and the weather starts to get hotter and nice is christmas time, maybe if you are reading this and you have not lived in a country that when is christmas is cold and is winter, well, all my teenage life I spend a summery christmas. I guess that I am personally so in love with this celebration because, all the gatherings that we have, and everybody is happier for at least a few days.
I’ve been spending christmas away from my parents, siblings and grandparents for a while now, we thought that this years perhaps, we could celebrate together, but the famous COVID happened, at this time of the year that is pretty much done, I really really hope that next year we can celebrate together, I mean, it’s been over 5 years since christmas is always me on the tablet facetiming my family while we open presents, it might sound a little bit sad, but that’s fine, those are some stuff that you are willing to give up in order to commit to some others!
Once our tree is up, I will definitely share a photo, I am more than happy to see how this will be like!
